It's all in the timing

Today's adventure was more a non-adventure primarily dealing with time and/or timing - including bad timing. Seems here in MX we still follow the old day light savings schedule (slow to change you know). So naturally I forgot about it and got up at 6am as usual except it was actually 5am. Of course Max doesn't care about the clock, he just runs on his stomach and wants to be fed. After getting all the clocks set back and some further directions to a furniture store I couldn't find yesterday I decided to head into town and look for it. Numbers don't seem to mean a lot down here, so everyone navigates by familiar business's etc. and sure enough this was right next to the Weber Grill place which is next to Stom Moving, however they're on vacation until Nov 5th, bad timing.

Back home I finished the laundry and continued to poke at an intermittent email problem that has been going on for a couple of days. I got bored and decided it was such a nice sunny day I'd lay out on a lounge on the deck and take in some sun - that must have lasted close to 3 minutes before I was totally bored and went in to do something more productive.

Eventually it was around noon and I decided a pizza would be good for lunch and to watch NASCAR which started at 1pm. I headed out and within a couple of blocks I suddenly ran into all kinds of cars? - normally there are never any down in this end of the woods, but today they were all over the place. As I headed up through topeville (Mirasol) I see a guy up at the Carreterra frantically waving a red flag and turning cars back. Ok I figured, who cares, I went back home and posted the "problem" on the forum. Turns out it was a bicycle race of some sort and they blocked off the whole highway so a bunch of guys in tight pants and funny looking hats could ride their cute little bicycles! Now, let it be said there is already a Ciclopista (bike path) along the highway - but no, they had to have the whole thing, so again, bad timing.

I got home did a few things, turned on the TV at 1pm and the race was already at lap 58? - now, as I said, we just changed back to normal central time, the TV I get thinks it's in NY which is eastern time and still DST, so I have no idea the correlation, but needless to say, bad timing once again. However, the race was good and later I went to the store after the race was over and got a few things.

The email problem continued and then about 8pm the whole 360west.com domain went dead. At this point it suddenly stuck me that once again it was a "timing" problem, in this case I didn't get a renewal notice on the domain and it expired today, so as I write this I've been on hold for 44 minutes waiting to try to renew the domain and get everything turned back on. Will it happen? - who knows?

Some random notes:
We don't have Policia cars down here, we have Policia trucks, why you ask? - well because you can pile a lot of guys with guns in the back if you need to and when you catch the bad guys you just throw them in the back, rain sleet or shine (I guess).

When I bought the Jeep it had 17" tires on it and I thought that was a bit much until I got here and boy do they get a work out.

History seems to repeat for me, for 22 years in TX I pulled out onto RR620 and had two choices, right or left and shazaam, here I pull out onto the Carreterra and I have two choices - you guess it.

So it is for this day and I'm still on hold at 57 minutes, I may pull the plug and start again first thing in the morning.
